WINTER. It’s a bit of a foreign term for us who have lived in Florida for most of our lives, right? So we’re always on the hunt for something cool to do here in Central Florida. So when this “igloo dining” experience popped up in our email we immediately froze.
We’ve actually seen something very similar in downtown Chicago and when we did we totally thought #BringToOrlando. So perhaps we manifested it? Well – you’re very welcome.
So what is this igloo dining experience all about? Essentially it’s private dining in your own igloo. Innovative name for the concept, eh? You can now embrace “the chill of the cooler seasons as you dine in your own igloo” under fairy lights. Guests can cozy up with two-to-six people and feast on a delicious degustation menu (we don’t really even know what that means, and the menu is yet to be released). But rest assured that in addition to this “delicious food” there will be plenty of bubbly and festive cocktails to accompany.
Each igloo comes complete with fleece blankets to up the cozy factor. Drinks are available at just the tap of a button – the igloo lights up when you would like to order notifying a server. Now that’s pretty rad.
Bookings are sold in 1.5 hour slots and won’t be around for long. Specific details–such as the specific location–are yet to be released, but you can sign up for email alerts as they come. Just visit the Explore Hidden website to make that happen and to find out more.
And here’s a little taste of what the experience is all about:
We’re totally into it. What do you think? Interested to give this a try?
