Too Much Sauce is a tasty little gem located in the Mills 50 District on the corner of Virginia and Mills Avenue, directly across the street from Out of the Closet and just adjacent to The Fresh Market. Brought to us by the folks who started Hot Krust near restaurant row in Dr. Phillips, Too Much Sauce has actually been here for over four years now, and while we’ve been several times but are just now getting around to sharing about it.
So what’s different about Too Much Sauce from other fast-casual, order-at-the-counter eateries options in the area?

Once having passed through the front door guests are presented with a wall of choices–literally–when it comes to dishes. And if you’ve been in Central Florida for any amount of time you’ll note a handful of local celebrities have offered up some collaborations.
You’ll find collaborations like the “Fire Chief Bowl” (Fire Chief Ben Barksdale), the “Chief Rolón Bowl” (Orlando Police Chief Rolón), the “Brian Shields” (Meteorologist Brian Shields), and the “Sheriff Mina” (The Orlando Sheriff John Mina). One of our absolute favorite Too Much Sauce dishes is the Mediterranean Shrimp. Comprised of quinoa, lettuce, shrimp, grape tomatoes, lime diced cucumber, carrots, feta cheese, red onions, and greek herbs sauce. It is, quite simply, the epitome of a healthy meal.
Another one of our favorite dishes is Buddy’s Kowboy Bowl. And if you guessed this bowl was a collaboration with City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Too Much Sauce you would absolutely be correct. This bowl of yumminess is made up of jasmine rice, spicy Texas style corn & black beans salad, roasted parmesan potatoes, slow-cooked beef caramelized onions, drizzled with chipotle barbecue sauce and topped with scallions.
In addition to all of the pre-set bowls on the menu, guests have the option of creating their own masterpiece (i.e., BYOB – Build Your Own Bowl) of bases, veggies, and proteins. According to the Too Much Sauce website, there’s a variety of 10+ bold flavors, like Chimichurri, Greek Herbs, and Sweet & Spicy Coconut Ginger Sauce to complement these creations.
