“Life is more fun if you play games.” – Roald Dahl, British novelist
Hey, the way we’re connecting with one another these days looks quite different than it has in the past. Right? But that doesn’t mean we can’t still get together and make great memories with our friends, family…and even strangers.
The Orange County Regional History Center has been hosting game and trivia nights for years and years and years. In fact, we’ve been to a few of the retro game nights over the years, the first being over a decade ago (here and here and here); they’re a blast. But the trivia night is something we’ve never participated in for no specific reason. And while the whole face-to-face aspect of things like these are obviously a huge part, that doesn’t mean they have to completely cease given the climate we’re in. So, the History Center is continuing on with them by introducing “Virtual Trivia Night” (for at least the next two months):
Put your knowledge to the test with virtual pub-style trivia hosted by Trivia Nick. Gather a team together for a fun evening of competition, trivia, and music. Prizes will be awarded to the teams that finish first, second, and third!- TheHistoryCenter.org
The virtual game night for April is next Thursday, 4/30. And for May – well that one is scheduled for Thursday the 21st. While the events are free there is a registration required (April’s is here and May’s is here).
So, do you think you’ll “attend”? Have you ever been to one of the retro game or trivia nights at the History Center before?
