It’s a strange, strange time we’re living in, we can likely all agree. And many of us are constantly trying to figure out how we can not only do our part to keep from contributing to the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, but also how we can contribute both to the sustainment of our Central Florida community and show gratitude to those who are continuing to put themselves on the front line.
We recently learned about a great program recently launched in partnership with F&D Woodfired Italian Kitchen (Orlando) and F&D Cantina (Lake Mary), called First Responder Fridays. Each week, the both restaurants are raising money to donate meals to a local fire station, police station or healthcare group in the area. They are also matching every donation received.
The program actually kicked off this past Friday, April 17th, with a meal donation from F&D Woodfired to Orlando Fire Department Station 11 and a meal donation from F&D Cantina to Seminole Seminole County Fire Department Station 34. Check it out:
Each restaurant is currently offering online ordering and take-out, so if you’re considering grabbing lunch or dinner to support a local business keep these guys in mind.
