We recently had the occasion to stop in to MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company located in Maitland. Ever heard of it or seen it? Located right on 17-92 just north of the The Enzian theatre, this place is easy to find if you’re looking for it, and likely just as easy to miss if you’re not.
This place is just a tad confusing upon first entering. It’s set up as many of these “make it yourself” style pizza eateries we’re probably all familiar with. In fact, a couple of members of our party waited around the counter for a few minutes talking directly to one of the employees before he finally told them they had to order off the menu at the front, near the register. So just be aware of that both before you head over and when you walk in.
That said, the inside of MidiCi is pretty charming, and their menu fairly extensive.
As just mentioned, the inside of MidiCi is quaint and charming.
While there are a few tables to select from outside (if the weather is nice enough to permit), indoor seating is both ample and comfortable. Probably 10-12 larger tables spread throughout, so if you plan heading in with a rather large group you might want to call ahead and make accommodations.
As we’ve talked about several, several times here, when it comes to pizza we’re fairly simple. A cheese and/or pepperoni or even a meat lovers suits us just fine.
So that’s what we went with. After ordering “The Meats” and a beer at the counter, we took a seat and waited for our dish to arrive. And once it did we dug right in (actually devoured it, but we don’t need to go into detail about that). The thing we really like about this place is the option between neopolitan pizza and regular crust pies. This one, in particular, had the perfect balance of sauce, meat, and cheese.
Of course, we wanted to make sure we captured some of the variety MidiCi offers on their menu so we snapped a few pics of our dinner companion’s dishes as well:
One of the things we really like about the menu here at MidiCi is they post all of the caloric information with each dish: https://mymidici.com/menu/pizza/. If pizza isn’t necessarily your ting or you’d like to try something a little different on your visit, MidiCi also offers salads, calzones, and pasta dishes.
Overall, we really enjoyed our trip to MidiCi and would certainly return for another evening of pizza and drinks, as an option for this type of food in the Central Florida area. If you’ve ever been we’d love to know your thoughts.
