Bolay Healthy Food in Winter Park

SO FRESH. SO BOLD

Bolay Winter Park

Bolay? More like Bo-yay! 😉 Seriously delicious healthy fast food that’ll make your stomach–and heart–smile.

The word Bolay itself combines the signature dish, the bol, with “olay” to evoke the excitement around the brand, good health and great living. – Bolay.com

Bolay has several locations sprinkled throughout the Central Florida area but the one we paid a visit to somewhat recently is the one situated in Winter Park, just near the intersection of Aloma and Lakemont Avenue. You know, that big ‘ole shopping center that’s been getting a facelift for a few months now? We noticed it pop up earlier this year have been intrigued about it for some time, particular due to the curb appeal made up of inviting color and the wood treatment. Certainly a little different than the typical American shopping center business facade. Anyway, this store is nestled in between Sprouts Farmers Market and the rest of the center – and you might likely miss it if you don’t know what you’re looking for.

Bolay is a very similar concept to Fresh Kitchen in that it’s healthy, much of the ingredients organic, and well-priced for the amount of food offered to customers. According to the Bolay website it was developed from the believe that “fast” and “casual’ can be both extraordinary and nutritious. We concur! So we popped in after a workout and were definitely ready for some sustenance. Plus like we mentioned we’d been wanting to check this place out for a bit.

After parking (could be a little challenging when the shopping complex is overly busy) and walking in, we took in the atmosphere. It’s a simple yet inviting environment, with cool colors and ample signage to convey to customers the concise ordering sequence. So for this particular visit we opted for the following creations:

Small Bowl (Bol)

The Small Bol includes:

  • 1 Base
  • 2 Veggies
  • 1 Protein
  • 1 Add-On
  • Sauce it Up!

Small Bol

This yummy concoction ended up including Forbidden Black Rice, ginger broccoli and cauliflower, and BBQ chicken. Certainly not the most appetizing looking in the to-go dish we were offered, but the taste and flavor of each ingredient was dee-lish-uus.

Large Bowl (Bol)

The Large Bol includes is a step up from the Small Bol, obviously, and is different in that it offers:

  • 2 Bases
  • 2 Veggies
  • 2 Proteins
  • 1 Add-On
  • Sauce it Up!

Large Bol

This one included some jasmine rice as a base, along with cauliflower and broccoli (ginger) for those veggies, some BBQ chicken and spicy thai shrimp, and spicy thai ginger sauce to top it all off. YUMMERS, right? We can testify to that.

If this all sounds so tasty to you and you wanna see what else Bolay has to offer, you can view the Bolay menu online.

Feel like something’s missing? Like for the kiddos? Don’t fret – there are also Kids Bols for those little tykes who enjoy healthy food. Those include one (1) base or (1) veggie, one (1) protein, sauce, and a juice box.

So the food looks pretty yums, right? Well there’s a little more. We love a strong brand message, and giving a reason for the consumer to connect with a product or experience is really what creates a brand at the core. So watch this short video about what inspired Bolay and look at how it makes a connection between the audience it’s appealing to and the product being offered.

Love it! And love the food. We’re looking forward to our next visit….
