“Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and caldron bubble.”
This is by far one of the most famous and memorable of the quotes among William Shakespeare’s plays, and certainly ‘Macbeth.” And if you’ve ever seen a stage production of it you’ve undoubtedly not been able to forget that either.
If you’ve never seen a live production of ‘Macbeth’ or even a production of anything at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center, now’s your chance: Orlando Shakes in partnership with UCF is bringing the production here to starting October 9th and running through the end of November.
We were given a little peek of what to expect (by way of pics) and thought we’d share with you:
“Something wicked this way comes.” Experience a visually striking production of Shakespeare’s Scottish play in an intimate setting. Blind ambition and twisted prophesy lead Macbeth to murder the Scottish king and seize the throne. An impulse for destruction and a loose grip on sanity define Lord and Lady Macbeth’s foothold on power that can only end in tragedy.*
