As we’ve probably mentioned more than once here on the blog, we love, love, love getting out and exploring our City! The city of Orlando and all of its surrounding areas. One such thing is hopping on a bike–either our own or a bike sharing service like Lime–and just connecting with the place where we all live.
Such a recent excursion resulted in landing over at Langford Park just a few blocks east of downtown Orlando. You might possibly not even know it’s there…but, it is and it’s a fantastic little city park.
No matter how you choose to get there and check it out, the park’s very accessible. There’s a parking lot to leave your car during the visit, and ample bike racks if you decide to bring your bike like we did. And there’s definitely enough to do at the park to keep you busy for a few hours.
There are play areas for both younger children as well as older children (up to 12), and walking paths to explore and get to the park. In addition, there are various sized pavilions to enjoy a moment of shade or a quick bite to eat (yeah – bring your lunch for a picnic!), and you can even reserve one of them for a special occasion or outing.
And just on the backend of the park there are tennis courts if you enjoy a quick match or two of the game.
There are public restrooms available for use (some are often locked so you’ll have to visit the Neighborhood Center to gain access):
