It is a danger to walk around in your very own hood here in Central Florida? Probably so. At least according the Orlando Sentinel. They just published an article on the topic of Central Florida being the most dangerous place to walk in all of the United States. Now, you have to be a subscriber to consume articles on OrlandoSentinel.com (don’t get me started), although users do get an allotted free amount per month. In case you’ve already used yours we’ll give you the lowdown:
According to the study highlighted in the article, the top six spots on the list of most dangerous metro areas for walking in the United States are in Florida:
- Deltona-Daytona Beach-Ormond Beach
- Palm Bay-Melbourne-Titusville
- North Port-Sarasota-Bradenton
- Lakeland-Winter Haven
That makes the Orlando, Sanford and Kissimmee metropolitan area the most dangerous place in the United States to walk, according to the report. GO, FLORIDA! But in all seriousness, please always be careful when out and about walking the streets.
So the big question we’ll ask of you is, where specifically do you feel is the most dangerous place to walk in Central Florida? What areas of town or intersections? Let us hear.
