Sushi options abound here in Orlando. We’ve talked about several here on the site, and it’s generally known we’re not big fans. That said – anytime food can be made fun we’re all in and certainly willing to give it a try!
We recently learned of a new location of Mikado Sushi opened up a ICON Park, this place is primed for a fun and “moving” dining experience (you’ll get what we mean in a bit). Now, Mikado has been around for quite some time, with three locations in Central Florida: Hunter’s Creek, Metro West, and Altamonte Springs. We’ve been to the Hunter’s Creek restaurant several times and, while it’s nothing extraordinary in terms of the actual dining room, the food has always been quite good. This new location at the ICON Park entertainment complex on I-Drive will bring the Mikado location total to four.
This new Mikado restaurant is slightly different than the “average atmosphere” of the Hunter’s Creek location mentioned earlier. The centerpiece of Mikado’s ICON Park restaurant is the advanced revolving conveyor belt dining concept. Guests will be able to select the roll or hot pot addition that catches their eye, as dishes glide by their table. In this interactive experience, the color of the plate determines the price.
“Mikado a revolving sushi and hotpot restaurant combines advanced technology, premium ingredients, and affordable prices to create a unique revolving sushi dining experience unlike anywhere else. The Mikado menu offers a variety of sushi rolls, ramen, and poke bowls.”
“We are so excited to bring some Asian flair to ICON Park, especially with such a fun dining experience,” said ICON Park CEO Chris Jaskiewicz, President and CEO of ICON Park. “With Mikado, we are now able to offer our guests even more variety, when it comes to choosing restaurants.”*
