Hot. Asian. Buns.
First of all, let me just warn you on being very careful when Googling anything related to “hot asian buns.” You thought it; I said it. Second, the Hot Asian Buns Food Truck has amazing food. You may have caught it out and about town, or making an appearance at one of your favorite Central Florida food truck events.
While the specialty of Hot Asian Buns is reflected in its namesake, their menu is quite diverse and offers a variety of options for those who don’t care for or like sticky buns (I am not one of those people).
A couple of items that seem to stand out on the menu not only in my opinion but from others who have tried them out as well:
- Korean Fried Chicken featuring gochujang, creamy slawy, sesame, and scallions.
- Smoked Brisket served with kimchi, horsey sauce, daikon, and scallions.
The fried chicken is certainly delicious and the gochujang sauce really adds a lot to the dish, but I have to say the brisket is my all-time favorite. As mentioned on the menu, the meat is 12-hour smoked and is so chocked full of flavor…my mouth is watering at the very thought of it. Plus I always think scallions add so much to a dish so that’s a bonus for me!
There are most definitely several other items on their menu we’d like to try out sometime soon. Notably the crispy soy garlic chicken rice bowl – it just sounds like something I’d be into.
