Mediterranean Blue Greek Food in SoDo

You guys, we’ve been wanting to check out this place for YEARS! Have always heard good things and finally had a chance to confirm it’s true: Mediterranean Blue’s food is delish. Have you ever been?

I’ve always been a sucker for a good gyro (how do you pronounce it?). If you’re into them as well I’m pretty sure this place’s will make your tummy happy.

I’m pretty “standard” when I go to Greek places: A beef gyro. Mediterranean Blue’s offering contains beef and lamb (many places are just lamb) with onion, tomato, and tzatziki sauce on a grilled pita. There’s a “king” version of the wrap containing feta, which is what I opted for. While the restaurant itself is quite small, it does provide for a small dine-in area. And the staff there were so friendly during our visit – there really was a sense of a “family”-run business.

Now on to more. First of all, the menu. Mediterranean Blue’s menu is pretty much what you’d expect from a Greek restaurant: Gyros, Souvlakis, Falafels, Greek Salads and more. And many of the “side” items can be found on display in a case upon immediately entering the restaurant. Many folks, like me, really enjoy this feature.

Have you ever eaten or gotten food at Mediterranean Blue? If so, what are your thoughts?

In addition to their dining options, Mediterranean Blue also offers catering services (catering menu) for events, private functions, or even small dinner parties.

SIDE NOTE: If you’re into following local restaurants, businesses, etc., on Social Media, this one is a bust. Mediterranean Blue’s Twitter account is both protected and only has 200 Followers. Yet it’s prominently highlighted on the homepage of their website. What’s up with that?

What are your thoughts on this topic?
