Call to Artists: Sculpture on the Lawn 2019

A couple of months ago we highlighted this “local artists feature” in the downtown Orlando area. It’s called Sculptures on the Lawn and is on display just outside the entrance to the Orange County Administration Center on the south side of downtown (where apparently 10k people seem them on the daily). We’ve just received info on the call for artists to submit their own work and ideas -existing or conceptual – for the new year (2019).

Sculptures on the Lawn 2018 rev

Sculpture on the Lawn is open to experienced professional sculptors as well as students and emerging artists who specialize in the design, construction and installation of outdoor sculptures. Up to three (3) sculptures will be selected for display from October 2019 to September 2020. One of the sculptures will be selected from a student or emerging artist, if suitable.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, July 1, 2019. Applications, resumes, images and other materials must be submitted here.

As a refresher here are some of the captures we caught for our earlier post and that can currently be seen on display downtown:

Know of any artist you think might enter? Or that you could recommend to enter? Or perhaps you’ve even got an idea or two of your own you’d like to share….
