Fairly recently I was doing some shopping in the Audubon Park district and decided to stop in to Palmer’s Garden & Goods for a potential gift I was searching for. Now, I’ve driven by Palmer’s more times than I can count but have never been in. So glad I finally did because this place is kinda sorta awesome. I had no idea simply from viewing the outside while driving down Corrine the place is so darn big!
Here’s a little tour around the grounds:
So beautiful, right? And while browsing around for your new foliage friends be sure to stop and pet the house kitty.
One of things I really like about places like these and Palmer’s, specifically (besides the cat, obviously), is it’s family-owned and has been part of the local scene for nearly 100 years.
Since the 1920’s, the property at 2611 Corrine Drive has been the home of a beautiful, unique and tranquil place to transform your garden and lawn. Palmer’s Garden & Goods has made the commitment to being a part of the community by promoting a lifestyle of health and happiness. We believe that by surrounding yourself with plants you can fuel your heart and soul.
That was borrowed directly from the Palmer’s Garden website. You can find out way more about the store, history, and people that help run it on a day-to-day basis on the “Meet the Gang” section of PalmersGarden.com.
