Tennis in Orlando: Places to Play

I love tennis.
I love playing it.
I love watching it.
I love talking about it.

I’ve played tennis on-and-off since my late elementary years. I’d like to think I’ve always been fairly decent, and if encouraged early in my youth to continue working on the skill I’d probably be really, really good. That being said, I feel as though I’m a medicare player, at best.

As we all know Central Florida can remain quite warm year-round and that makes for a great outdoor sports atmosphere. That includes for tennis. And luckily we have a lot of places at our fingertips to play – both free and for a minimal cost. So I thought I’d share some of our favorite and frequent places to play…along with some others we don’t get to too often but are definitely grateful they are options.

Here’s a list of [current] tennis courts we enjoy playing in the Central Florida area:

Now, Delaney and Phelps can be a bit tricky because courts are so limited (two at Delaney and three at Phelps). Both are first-come, first-serve (πŸ˜‰), and neither offer players lights (so no playing after dark.) The others do offer light.

There are several great comprehensive resources that’ve been put together and we’ll link out to them here (see below). You can find additional details including locations and hours of operation there or by visiting the website for the courts. Just keep in mind these lists may not be completely correct or up-to-date.

Guys – there are a ton of places out there to play tennis. This is simply a list of places we go to on a regular basis or are familiar with. So what other places would you add here?
