Movie in the Park: Film at 11

Actually, the film in reference is at 7…30pm. Just not too long after the sun sets, and the Central Florida heat has cooled a bit.

We’re talking about Movie Night at Leu Gardens. First of all let’s say Leu Gardens is pretty amazing all by itself. But they bring even more to offer in the way of things to do in Orlando with all of their year-round events. We’ll feature a post dedicated more on Leu Gardens in the future. For now, though, this “movie night” is pretty much what you’d expect according to the description. Nothing fancy and no surprises. Basically, a movie shown in the park, and anyone can come and watch it. There’s a giant screen erected specifically for this event, and attendees can enjoy movie and dinner under the stars (weather permitting). dinner picnic basket and seating. Alcohol is allowed, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own food and seating.

This month’s movie–which is this coming Friday evening–is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. In case you’ve forgotten anything about the premise of the movie, or are one of those rare cases that has never seen the film (gasp!), here’s the trailer:

PRO TIP: Parking can be a little bit of a beast. Only members can park in the parking lot so when it’s busy it’s recommended to arrive a little early. There are street spaces available, and the Gardens open at 6pm.
