New discovery! New discovery! Over the weekend a friend and I checked out a new place in Winter Park, just a block down from Park Avenue and Rollins College. It’s called Scratch and it’s only been open a couple of weeks, inside the old Tatáme location on Fairbanks Avenue. In their own words:
A Modern-American Tapas Restaurant, which emphasizes fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. We specialize in craft beer, microbrews, and fine wines both domestic and imported.”
SOLD!
Super cute on the inside, fairly small with ample seating around the bar. Serving style is tapas so we tried several dishes including ‘breads & spreads’, shrimp, and some of the best french fries I’ve ever eaten (in the top photo above. Just a quick tip that the shrimp are served with the heads still on (I’m not a fan). Let’s check out the goods:

Like what you see? Get a little taste of what you can expect by looking over their menu. In addition to that, there are specials offered and those can be found on a board locating inside the dining area.
