Comfort Eating in Downtown Orlando

What’s that? Food, again? Why, yes….

Avenue Gastrobar is a relatively new eatery/nighttime venue located in downtown Orlando, where Senso used to live (didn’t even realize it’d closed until recently).

“Sip. Grub. Socialize.”

Shouts on their website, and I love it because it tells folks exactly what they can expect.

Now, unless I’m completely blind, their website doesn’t currently explain too much about drinks and menus, but you can follow them on Facebook for stuff like that, I imagine (link to Facebook below). In terms of what they offer, let’s just say it’s all comfort food and all looks amazing. What I and my friend enjoyed was phenomenal, actually. Quite surprising for an area of town where you typically think “quick” and “late night” food dominates.

Avenue Gastrobar Menu & Food

A big, big tip: Get the fries! They are joined with a homemade sauce which is similar to a cocktail sauce (who woulda thunk it?!) – it’s spicy and yum! In addition to that in the photos above you can see Chicken Pot Pie and Shrimp & Grits. Yup – that’s the kinda stuff we’re dealing with here, folks.

Location deets:

Avenue Gastrobar
13 S. Orange Avenue

You can keep-up with them on the Following Social channels:

Now if you’ll excuse me I must go run about 20 miles.
