Here I go talking about food again. Shocker! At this rate you’d think we’ve exhausted all places to eat in the area…but no…there are PLENTY of other places and we’re ready to go!
This time we’re talking about a place I’ve been going to for many years, along with lots of other Central Floridians. I’m talking about Christo’s Cafe in little ‘ole College Park.
This diner is such a little gem, and while there are some healthy…er items on the menu, don’t be fooled – this is a place to go eat food to not feel guilty about. Items like bacon (yum). Grits (delish)! Home fries (give me some now). Hash browns! Oh my gosh I can’t take it. Just take a look at the pictures below and you’ll see what I mean.
Hungry yet? If you’re not you’re crazy.
Warning: Christo’s is definitely your neighborhood, hole-in-the-wall diner/eatery. When you go there you almost feel a sense of community. And if the weather’s cooperating (i.e., it’s not friggin’ heavy with humidity outside), the porch/patio is a wonderful place to dine.
So here are the location deets for Christo’s:

Have you been? What do you think?

I understand that Cristo’s has recently changed hands and is making some changes that are not really for the better. They have made some subtle changes to the menu, decreased the portions and they have removed the homemade cake altogether. What a dissappointment.

Thanks for the insight, Jim. Wasn’t aware of this (although smaller portions might be a “healthier” move).

Jim, Christo’s started going down when they changed ownership in the beginning of 2011, and to be honest with you, after Gustav left I never knew who the owner was.
